Intel Officially Introduces Optane-Based SSD 900P Series

In March, Intel had introduced the latest PCIe SSD called DC P4800X. SSD is equipped with Optane technology so it has a high level of durability and is intended for the data center segment. But now, Intel again presents the latest Optane-based SSD technology aimed at the consumer but has the ability equivalent to SSD for data center.
The latest Intel SSDs named Intel Optane SSD 900P Series are offered in two form factor options including Add-in Card and U2. Regarding the available capacity, for Intel Optane SSD 900P Series variant Add-in card is available in two options, 280 GB and 480 GB. As for the U2 variant is only available 280GB.

About the performance offered, Intel Optane SSD 900P Series mentioned by Intel is able to offer speed at high workload. Random 4K read / write speeds offered by this SSD reach 550.000 / 500.000 IOPS , same as Intel SSD DC P4800X. This figure also seems much higher when compared with the same class SSD.
As for the speed of read / write Sequential it reached 2500 MB / s and 2000 MB / s . At first glance sequence read / write ability offered by Intel Optane SSD 900P Series is quite standard. However, the resilience of Intel's latest SSD is arguably very high which reaches up to 8760 TBW (Terabyte Written).

Intel claims, a PC to do the animation rendering process, much faster that the original rendering process takes 17.4 hours to be shortened to 6.3 hours after using Intel Optane SSD 900P Series.
